Cedar Rapids to use 11.1 million for affordable housing
Cedar Rapids will use 11.1 million dollars in state and federal funds to rebuild affordable housing with a focus on flood damaged neighborhoods. Mayor Ron Corbett announced the third funding round with Gov. Culver present. The plan aims to infill vacant lots and support at least 300 new homes beginning January 1, reducing a pre flood need of about 900 units.
