ISU to Expand Veterinary College Facilities in Two Phases
Iowa State plans a two phase project totaling about 16 million dollars to build new veterinary medicine facilities east of the research institute near Ames. Phase one received approval from the state board of regents funded by state and federal sources, with detailed layouts showing the physiology and anatomy wing and other core labs.

Three Top Jobs Filled at Iowa State
The state board of regents approved the appointment of a dean for the new college of education and chairs for two departments at Iowa State. Virgil S. Lagomarcino becomes dean November 1 with a 24500 year salary. George M. Beal will chair sociology and anthropology from February 1 1969 at 24000 annually. Clarence E. Bundy will chair agricultural education from November 1. Lagomarcino has served ISU since 1955 and led teacher education for seven years. Beal has been on ISU staff since 1947 and is national president of the Rural Sociological Society with extensive public service and international work.

Iowa State Names Bundy Head of Agriculture Education Department
The Iowa State Regents approved Bundy’s appointment and a departmental name change to department of agricultural education in the College of Agriculture. Bundy, a long time educator, holds a BS from 1929 MS 1934 and further earned a BS 1943 MS 1947 PhD 1953 from Iowa State. He taught in Iowa Falls and led the district before joining ISU.
