Rebecca the filly and Ak-Sar-Ben memories from a Nebraska trip
The writer recalls a Kentucky farm visit near Marion with Mr and Mrs Hans N Boyson to see Rebecca the four month old filly. They describe the farm, Peculiar horse corral features, Rebecca’s dam Rexine Peavine and breeding, and the crowds at Ak-Sar-Ben events including horse show sights and the retiring lead horse Sands. The piece blends nostalgia with detailed horse notes and local scene.
