Night Bitch film brings motherhood questions to screen in Iowa City
In Iowa City, audiences saw the film adaptation of Rachel Yoder’s Night Bitch, starring Amy Adams and directed by Marielle Heller. Yoder, a University of Iowa assistant professor, told how the novel’s pandemic-era release and fresh cut after the writer and actor strikes propelled its rapid rise. The story, already about women, labor, and creativity, aims to spark broader talk on partnership, parenting duties, and domestic labor among viewers.
