Record Traffic Expected For Iowa City Football Fans

Iowa patrolmen and special police will be deployed this weekend to manage a record flow of football fans into Iowa City. Dr. Charles Brown an assistant state geologist told the Iowa section of the American Waterworks Assn meeting that Cedar Rapids could obtain its entire drinking water supply from shallow Cedar River wells. Wells now drilled to supplement river supply may ease taste and odor, with two ground options: a Jordan level 1600 feet down or shallow Cedar River wells.
