Faith and ecology converge at local centers and churches
A growing movement ties faith to environmental awareness with Prairiewoods in Iowa and Indian Creek Nature Center drawing volunteers from area churches. Leaders like Sister Nancy Hoffman and Bob Sessions frame stewardship as spiritual duty while universities and congregations promote prairie projects and sustainable practices. The trend spans Cedar Rapids to Iowa City and reflects a broader, global shift.
