Carmike Cinemas of Columbus will build a 12 screen megaplex on Edgewood Road SW in Cedar Rapids, a 45 000 square foot complex seating 2000 with THX digital sound. Construction starts February and opening is expected in August. the project includes Italian marble neon accents mirrored ceilings and upgraded concession areas.
