Repeat drunk drivers common in 51 crash study
NTSB study of 51 alcohol related crashes found one third of drivers had suspended licenses and nearly three quarters had prior alcohol offenses. In one case a driver had 22 prior offenses. Accidents occurred between August 1982 and June 1984 across 15 states.
