IRIS helps Iowa blind stay connected with audio descriptions
Iris to 11,000 Iowans with 10 daily papers across the state. Volunteers read newspapers by radio since the 1980s and now supplement with podcasts, Echo Dots, and livestreams. IRIS expands to court access, museums, braille menus, and accessible voting sites in Des Moines.
