Cedar Rapids explores future use for Sinclair site

About 60 percent of demolition is done and leaders weigh long term options for the 30 acre Sinclair site in southeast Cedar Rapids. Plans discussed include a NewBo City Market adjacent recreation center with development by building, letting the site evolve and possibly relocation of the City Market after success at Quality Chef site. Past efforts for a gaming boat and a minor league park were cited as foundational lessons.
