Judge recuses himself from Park murder retrial
In Tama County the 6th Judicial District Judge Mitchell Turner recused himself from Tait Park’s murder retrial after a prosecutor alleged bias against three key witnesses. Park, 50, was found guilty of first degree murder in May for the death of his former fiancée Cora Okowski in 2000. he waived a jury for the retrial, which will be heard by a new judge starting November 6 in Tama County District Court.
