Rich and Famous review points to sequel tease
The 1981 film follows Merry and Liz from college to Malibu as rival friends. Merry writes a manuscript and urges Liz to shop it, while both struggle with love and ambition. The pace stagnates after a lively early section, ending with an unresolved, potentially sequel‑driven finale.
