Paving Delay on South 15th Street Frustrates Marion Residents
Marion city officials extended Ray Bertelli and Sons' contract to October 19 for repaving South 15th Street near Marion High School after repeated weather delays. The closure disrupted traffic and led to police reporting drivers ignoring barricades and damaging yards as showers slowed work. City Engineer Terry Chew cited persistent wet conditions as the main obstacle to completing the project.
