A Yonkers bartender, Robert Ferrara, was found guilty of second degree murder in the fatal shooting of his wife, a transsexual model and nightclub performer. Co defendant Robyn Arnold was acquitted after a lengthy jury deliberation. Ferrara faces 25 years to life in prison.
Russell Lee Jones of Harpers Ferry, 22, was listed in serious condition with a neck injury at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse Wisconsin after a one car crash in Allamakee County. Police say he fell asleep at 7 04 a m Sunday while driving 14 miles south of Waukon on Highway 76. The car left the road and rolled over at a gravel road intersection. the vehicle was destroyed and the crash is under investigation.
