Harrison Happenings, a fifth and sixth grade paper from Harrison School in Trenton New Jersey, won the 1982 Mini Page School Newspaper Contest for best K to 6 paper. The award included a $100 prize and was earned by a 16 member staff selected for creativity and writing ability.
The judge this year was Mrs. Roxie Wilcox the former adviser for last year’s winner Through Wain Wright Windows from Wain Wright Science and Math Magnet School in Houston Texas. She outlined criteria including organization appearance student contributions and cover letter detailing staff and production.
