Ginseng theft and burglaries mark Cedar Rapids notes
Seven pounds of ginseng roots valued at 770 dollars were stolen from a southwest Cedar Rapids garage between 8 p m Wednesday and 1 p m Thursday. A lantern and cooler worth 65 dollars also were taken. A 32 year old man was charged with attempted burglary after disrupting Janet Noethe s front porch. he broke a window and was released without bond. Another entry on 1520 Fifth Ave SE yielded items including a stereo turntable and microwave worth 1778 dollars. Mercy Care Management buys the Family Practice Associates building in Manchester and extends Dr Mary Lorenz s Manchester practice with Dr Duane Caylor joining. Searles moves to Madison Wisconsin.
