Linn County arrests 11 for drunk driving over weekend
Eleven motorists were arrested in Linn County on drunk driving charges late Saturday and Sunday. Among those named are Christopher W. Stark 36 Jonathan E. Bratton 20 Anya L. Vanous 43 John C. Bradley 35 Korene K. Staake 26 and Dale F. Leonard 23. Staake also faced an assault charge after allegedly throwing a telephone at a deputy at the jail.

Woman hurt as car stops to avoid dog
A two car crash Sunday left Ann Alston 29 of 4054 Eighth Ave NW in fair condition with neck and back injuries at St Luke’s Hospital. The crash occurred when Maggie L Baker swerved to avoid a dog, causing Diana L Beck’s car to rear end Bakers vehicle. Beck was uninjured. Police report notes speeds around 25 mph.
