The BMake-tt-Yourself-with-Wool contest will be held Nov 4 at Prairie High School Cedar Plain. It is a district One competition with entries from Ling Pama Benton domes Jackson Powewhick Towa Johnson and Cedar. Entry forms are available from county extension offices area department stores and the district director. Entry deadline Oct 21. Four age groups include Sub-leh 10-18 junior 14-16 senior 17-23 and adult over 21. Boys may enter. Garments must be homemade from 11 percent wool woven or knitted in USA. hand knit also accepted. Parents invited to a Wednesday noon lunch at Cedar Rapids schools as part of National School Lunch Week and the 26th year of operation. Meals include spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, French bread, peaches, peanut butter, and milk. About 15,000 lunches served daily with nearly 3,000 free meals for eligible children.
