Spears Rejects Plea Offer in Misde meanor Case
Britney Spears’ attorney rejected a plea that would place her on probation for a year and require a $150 fine in a misdemeanor driver's license incident. The lawyer said a reduction to an infraction with a $10 fine might be acceptable, and he warned of an appeal if the trial proceeds as scheduled. He contends the case targets a celebrity and seeks to blemish her record. The charge stems from hitting a parked car.
