Oliver's setback ends Hawks' all time assists and steals pace
Oliver, a 6-foot-11 guard from Mason City, signed with Golden State as an NBA free agent after college. He spent most of his rookie season on the injured list, played 20 games, then appeared in 15 games with the Warriors last season before a December release. He joined two teams in the NBDL, then tore his left Achilles June 30 in a Prime Time League game, jeopardizing NBA summer league and preseason chances. He hopes to return by January and pursue overseas play to reach USBL then NBA camps. He emphasizes learning love for basketball and aims to prove his shooting, especially from three, to scouts.
