The Rev. Joseph Emmet McGuire 84 died Oct. 5 2016 at Mercy Medical Center Hallmar Cedar Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Oct. 10 at St. Mary Catholic Church Vinton with Archbishop Michael Jackels celebrant. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery Key West. He was born March 18 1932 in Dubuque. He served in the Navy 1952 1955 and was ordained 1965. He last served at St. Mary Vinton retiring 2007 and was a hospital chaplain at Mercy Cedar Rapids for 17 years. He is survived by one brother two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Home Van Steenhuyse Russell Vinton is handling arrangements.
