Cedar Rapids woman plants trees to hang a hammock

Dana Sindelar waited a decade to relax in a hammock she bought for her 40th birthday. She planted two Catalpa trees near her century old Cedar Rapids home to support the bright green Fair Trade hammock, and finally enjoyed the first night swaying in the yard with her dog Cassius Clay and cat Sloppy Joe. The 40 year old, a native of Cedar Rapids, works in catalog design for motorcycle parts and embraces a simple life without a TV or sofa, finding beauty in a natural front yard garden and inventive yard decor.
