Deaths in Mount Vernon and surrounding areas reported

Gwladys McCallum, 90, Cedar Rapids resident since 1951, services in Cedar Rapids and burial in West Union. Linda L. Freeman Boyle, 33, of Waterloo, died in Kentucky from an auto crash with services pending. Julia Tlusty, 82, Mount Vernon native, funeral in Cedar Rapids with burial at Czech National Cemetery. J. R. Harbit, 84, former Cedar Rapids fire captain, died in Santa Ana, California, with services in California. Ruey Minor Cobb, 86, died in La Habra, California, with cremation and services in California. other notices list Louis W. Gavitt Jr., Hanford and other local figures with upcoming services in Marion, Decorah, Manchester, Monticello, Olin, Sigourney, Tama, Victor, Vinton, Wellman, and nearby areas.
