Iowa City man extradited for attempted murder in Illinois
Orville Reeves 24 of Iowa City was arrested here and extradited to Illinois on an attempted murder charge after allegedly abducting Mary Ann Krizler in Iowa City hitchhiking, taking her to Bureau County where sexual acts were alleged and her throat was slashed. Reeves was located Tuesday and extradited Wednesday. Krizler is reported in fair condition at a county hospital.

C. R. Youths Face Vehicle Theft Charges
Star Engineering officials report police are recovering items worth about 7 000 to 8 000 stolen from the firm Saturday night or Sunday morning. Police say two boys, 16 and 17, have been arrested on larceny charges for stealing tools and car parts from a Star Engineering pickup truck. The youths damaged the Jones park pool house and collided with a tree during the incident.
