Adios Sabata Review Recasts Brynner With Mixed Praise
The Alberto Grimaldi production released by United Artists stars Yul Brynner as Sabata with Dean Reed in key scenes. Set in Mexico during a revolution, the plot follows a bounty hunter who joins a gypsy group to steal a gold shipment bound for Maximilian’s emissaries. The film feels patchy with uneven editing and sparse dialogue but gains some edge from Dean Reed’s standout performance.
