Von Maur deal seen worth over 16 million to Coralville

City Plans 9.5 Million TIF for Von Maur Store Site
Gerry Ambrose said private sector cannot compete with a TIF deal. Fisher reviewed the purchase and sale agreement and public documents about the Van Maur project. Coralville will pay nearly 9.5 million for construction costs on an 80,000 square foot Von Maur store at Iowa River Landing. The city will convey land to Oliver McMillan for 1.5 million, who will then sell to Von Maur.
