They allegedly rode in the car from which Herman's assailant escaped after a street fight in which Herman was struck and died from a skull fracture. The third man who struck Herman is unidentified.
Harold Jack Parsons a 32 year old San Francisco man died at 5 35 p m after his legs were severed when he fell beneath the wheels of a northbound Rock Island freight train at Waterloo s southern limits Tuesday afternoon The accident occurred near the Rock Island lines and Parsons died later at a local hospital
Spencer AP Police say Paul Jayne, 19, son of Frank Jayne, 65, is jailed as detectives plan to question him about his father's death. The body was found with a crushed head. three pipe fragments and blood prints traced from the scene. An autopsy and inquiry are planned.
