UI Hawkeye Sports Properties holds 132 sponsorship contracts generating a guaranteed six million dollars annually. Rural Vinton man charged in federal marijuana case
Derek Scott, 50, of Vinton, Iowa, was charged in U S District Court with manufacturing marijuana after deputies found a sophisticated hydroponic grow operation with 90 to 100 plants in his trailer while searching for another escapee. A preliminary hearing was set for 2 p.m. today and he remains in custody. Scott has Linn County prior convictions for drug offenses.

Judge rules Mason did not violate rights in firing Mills
