Cedar Rapids man faces resentencing for Jan. 6 riot
Antowan Leo Kelly of Cedar Rapids, already released early from a 30 month sentence after a Supreme Court ruling narrowed one obstruction charge, awaits resentencing in D.C. federal court. Judge Royce Lamberth ordered briefing within 30 days while securing accountability from prison officials for Kelly’s premature release. Other Iowa defendants faces similar reviews as prosecutors reassess cases tied to the obstructing official proceedings statute.
