Cedar Rapids traffic cameras have generated over 600000 in under seven months with the city on track to exceed 750000 in the first full year. since March 2 the system has issued 27554 tickets and collected about 2900 daily with 12825 paid to date while Gatso USA deducts 30 per paid ticket.

In Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School marketing class students voted on a product to sell to peers using Poll Everywhere. The live computer display tracked votes as juniors texted codes from their phones, a new method welcomed by student Jordan McCormick who praised its efficiency and confidentiality.
