Moon Over Buffalo shines at Old Creamery Theatre
Old Creamery Theatre presents Moon Over Buffalo a sharp Ken Ludwig farce set in 1950s Buffalo. Backstage chaos erupts as mistaken identities collide with a hapless troupe led by a director’s deft touch and a string of comic mishaps. The cast delivers strong timing and vivid, entertaining performances.

Moon Over Buffalo at Broadway Delivers Sharp Comedy
Review notes on Rosalind and Paul affair angles and Charlotte Hay arc. Meg Merckens outperforms Burnett in a wild eyed, Phyllis Diller like take. William Groth as George Hay provides subtle, droll contrast. Jim Kropa shines as the clueless weather reporter. One hour forty five minute run time with intermission delivers brisk, professional, funny theater without snobbery.

Marion commends officers for saving Ramsey life
Marion police officers Sgt. Bill Pechman and Officer Jerry Whitson were credited by Police Chief Harry Daugherty for saving John Ramsey’s life with CPR on September 5. Ramsey, 69, survived to attend an awards presentation a month later where the officers received commendations, medals, and ribbons. Ramsey’s wife called 911 as he stopped breathing. Ramsey later recalled little of the incident and said, I’m glad I live in Marion.
