Americans Abroad Blamed for Attitude at Coe College
Dr. Robert E. Speer of New York City urged Coe College students that Americans abroad act as trustees of their country and their own names. He warned that some travelers, globe-trotters, and a few officials have harmed America’s image, while denying he targeted any diplomats. He spoke to 25 Presbyterian ministers and noted the church’s worldwide fellowship and freedom. Dr. Speer and Dr. Hantsche addressed the group, with Dr. George Irving also present.
