Benton County asks voters about new plat maps proposal
The Benton County Board of Supervisors puts a ballot question on hiring a firm to provide updated plat maps at 235305 dollars plus 10 50 per parcel over 22410, to be paid over three years from revenue sharing and the general fund. Auditor Florence Rippel says maps are aging and needed for proper administration while supervisors debate democracy versus referendum. Democrats lead in county offices, while Republicans hope for gains in the 1978 election with campaigns around governor Ray and federal races, including Leach Myers and Clark.
