Two adults charged after meth found in Fayette County home
A 2 year old was found in the home as deputies arrested Ryan James Smith and Erika Nichole Pipkin after a search of their West Union apartment. Methamphetamine was within the child’s reach and the Department of Human Services took custody of the toddler. The pair face multiple charges and the investigation continues.

Cedar Rapids police investigate two shootings in Wellington Heights and Mound View. A 36 year old man with a gunshot wound to the arm arrived at Mercy Medical Center early Wednesday. In the second incident near 16th Street and B Avenue NE shots damaged a vehicle and shell casings were found. No suspects named. investigations ongoing.
