Czechgrass Shines as Druha Trava Plays CSPS Hall
Druha Trava from the Czech Republic delivered a lively set at CSPS Hall in New Bohemia with Czech and English songs. Robert Krestan led with a gravelly acoustic voice, backed by Lubos Malina and Lubos Novotny on banjo and dobro, with Emil Formanek on bass. The group closed with Bill Monroe’s On and On, proving Monroe’s influence and earning strong applause from a receptive audience.
