Estrogen-progestin pills tied to ovarian cancer risks
Study from the Women’s Health Initiative found 32 of 16,608 participants developed ovarian cancer over about 5 percent of follow up. Among those, 20 were in the hormone group and 12 in the placebo group, a difference not statistically significant but seen as a concerning trend by experts.
