Traveling exhibit highlights Black Iowans at Davenport school
A mobile exhibit from the African American Historical Museum in Cedar Rapids is on display at Davenport North High School through Dec. 7. It uses square panels mannequins and video monitors to depict Iowa's Black history from Underground Railroad to Civil War and World War I. It also spotlights Buxton and features clips with former residents including Carl Kietzmann and a Keokuk baseball pioneer Bud Fowler.
