Charles J. Evans a 25 year old seaman from Everett Washington died after an autopsy found tropical fever as the cause. A beating by striking seamen in New York last Sunday was ruled not responsible, according to Dr. T A Gonzalo chief medical examiner in New York City. The death occurred at sea Tuesday and the verdict was announced in Charleston South Carolina.
