Krause overstated Iowa ethanol impact in fact check
The Fact Checker evaluates Haas candidate Bob Krause's 47 percent corn for ethanol claim as accurate for production but finds his 70 000 jobs and 4 percent GDP figures inflated. Independent estimates place ethanol jobs around 6 000 and GDP closer to 3 4 percent, yielding a mostly accurate but overstated overall assessment. Mitchell Schmidt authored the piece.
