Principal crafts intricate wood cut works in downtime
Keith Bock, longtime Banger Middle School administrator, spends evenings in a basement workshop crafting scroll saw pieces from oak, walnut and hackberry. He produces items from small violin cutouts to a 54 inch walnut horse scene and a 40 hour oak train engine, selling few while gifting many. Don Lewis encouraged him after mentors and retirement plaques sparked his interest, helping him choose tools and techniques.

Twelve children under 10 have died this year, and cases like the Jarren Ozburn homicide remain unresolved months after autopsies.
