Vote on Wilson resolution looms at Monday board meeting

Cedar Rapids Community School Board may vote on a resolution to close Wilson Junior High School at the Monday session. The proposal, from Ron Moore, would direct Education Staff to proceed with closing plans, a stance linked to the September election and the board president Curran Rosser’s view of reaffirming prior action. Wilson supporters planned a multi media presentation, but key speakers may be unavailable, complicating the meeting as Concerned Friends and Parents reconsider attendance. The meeting starts at 7 30 p m at the district offices.
