Egg Supplies To Be Large Says USDA
The USDA bureau predicts 1945 egg supplies will stay ample especially early year. Egg production may dip 8 to 12 percent from 1944 but stock carryover and lend-lease reductions offset. Civilian demand and prices may stay near 1944 levels with a favorable outlook for turkey meat and poultry output. The report notes lower egg feed price ratios and a large year for turkey production. Make sure windmill is locked out of gear before servicing.
