Woman Beaten to Death Near Cor�tez Home

A 65-year-old woman was bound with rope and beaten to death in her bungalow. Her husband, Renven 74, was bound and injured. two rooming-house owners reported seeing strangers and a financial jewel loss including cash, three diamond rings, and a fur book. Police questioned several transient renters and sought a description of suspects after a four-state alert. The husband survived and assisted officers with the investigation.
