Mount Trashmore overlook to open Cedar Rapids landfill site
The Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency plans a $743000 overlook atop the old landfill, dubbed Mount Trashmore, offering 360 degree city views. A Dec 20 public hearing will hear proposals for a gazebo, fencing and trails as part of phased site redevelopment with access during operating hours and sign in at the scale house.
