House of Hope aids women through faith and community outreach
House of Hope, a Christian facility in Cedar Rapids, opened in 2002 with 12 beds, offering seven month programs. Residents volunteer in nursing homes, raking leaves, and food drives while not working outside for two months. Belinda Thomas and Jodie Sisco share stories of recovery, faith, and rebuilding their lives. A Victorian open house on Dec 13 14 invites the public.
