North Liberty man faces five charges in Iowa court
James R. Poggenpohl, 25, appeared in Johnson County District Court on five charges including second degree theft after allegedly stealing nine handguns and a shotgun from a rural North Liberty home. He was arrested in Iowa City and is held on a $6,000 bond as deputies recover the firearms.

Non metro members Ely Palo Prarieburg and Robins did not attend the vote at Hiawatha Community Center. Center Point Central City Coggan Fairfax Lisbon Mount Vernon Springville and Walker voted to join ECICOG. Hiawatha undecided. Cedar Rapids man charged in stolen car case
A Cedar Rapids man, Jeffrey Meyer, 26, of 1443 Fourth Ave SE, was charged with second degree theft for allegedly possessing a car stolen from a Coralville grocery store. Police found the car at Meyer's home. the owner is Steven Hutchinson of 518 Eighth Ave, Coralville. Meyer remained jailed on bond.

Charge Dropped Against Albert Shoudy in Assault Case
A charge of assault causing bodily injury against Albert Shoudy 35 of 3581 Rodgers Rd NW was dismissed in Linn District Court misdemeanor division after the complainant refused to cooperate. Shoudy was charged Nov 30 1984 with hitting Jeanne Flancer at the Rodgers Road address. Blackbeard Edward Teach was killed in battle in 1718.
