Volunteers Give Thanks With Free Thanksgiving Dinner In Cedar Rapids
The Henry Davison Youth Center marked its 13th annual free Thanksgiving dinner serving hundreds including homeless and others in need. Volunteers cooked from home and at a makeshift kitchen after 2008 floods, serving 30 turkeys and hams and raffling 80 gift certificates for Hy-Vee meats while handing out canned goods to departing attendees.
