Cedar Rapids to announce purchase of Crowne Plaza hotel

City officials will announce Monday the acquisition of the Crowne Plaza Five Seasons Hotel from CW Capital LLC. The deal follows months of negotiations including use of eminent domain earlier this month and ties the hotel to the U S Cellular Center and planned convention complex.
