Carbon Copy review finds humor in social levels and race
The film stars George Segal Jack Warden and Denzel Washington and plays out a white executive facing his son born of an interracial relationship. The review notes slick humor with social commentary tempered by lightness and a Norman Lear style vibe. It criticizes the film for softening its message while delivering a likable cast and mild profanity for a PG rating.

Judge weighs arguments on Low Moor zoning writ
A 7th Judicial District judge in Scott County heard arguments to set aside a writ blocking a zoning commission's plan to rezone land near Low Moor. The site is tied to a potential Iowa Beef Processors hog facility. Clinton County Attorney G Wylie Pillers Ill objected, seeking to lift the writ obtained by a Davenport attorney representing five Low Moor farmers. The hearing before Judge James Havercamp aimed to determine if a judge may hear the matter.
