Engineer cleared in McGregor condemnation suit

Clayton County District Judge Robert Mahan ruled on November 9 that Cedar Rapids engineer Don Hattery and his firm Shire Hattery Engineers had no role in deceiving the Janets or influencing condemnation of their riverfront property in McGregor. The judge said there was no evidence of involvement and noted the case centered on condemnation procedure rather than ethics.
